She was crowned the winner of Big Brother Australia during Tuesday night’s nail-biting season finale.

And on Thursday, Reggie Bird still couldn’t wipe the smile off her face while doing a live television interview on the Gold Coast.

Reggie, 48, who is the first person to win the series twice, sported a white crop top teamed with a pink skirt and denim jacket.

At one stage, Reggie was seen throwing her arms up in the air before being escorted to an awaiting car by a minder.

Reggie, who won Big Brother’s 2003 season, beat out newbies Johnson and Taras to claim her second crown on Tuesday, taking home a cash prize of $250,000.

The former fish and chip shop owner was swarmed by family and friends moments after the announcement was made.

‘I can’t believe it!’ an emotional Reggie told host Sonia Kruger.

‘Thank you to everyone that voted for me and I hope I did you all proud,’ she added with tears in her eyes.

‘I’m gonna use [the prize money] to put a roof over our heads,’ Reggie continued, as she was embraced on stage by her daughter Mia, 15, and son Lucas, 12.

Speaking to Who magazine earlier this week, Reggie said she was writing her memoir and hoped to carve out a career in TV and radio.

‘Nineteen years ago I said I was going to write a book and I didn’t do it, so now is the time!’ she gushed.

‘I procrastinated and now I’m glad I have, because there is so much more to tell.

‘I’d also love to do something on radio, or do another TV show like Travel Guides or Gogglebox. I’d be hilarious!’

Meanwhile, footage of Reggie partying with fellow Big Brother stars surfaced on social media following her big win.
