Bindi Irwin fangirls over The Wiggles as they perform at Australia Zoo: ‘This is wonderful’

Bindi Irwin was overjoyed at The Wiggles coming to Australia Zoo.

The mother-of-one, 24, took to Facebook on Tuesday to celebrate the beloved Australian kids group performing at the wildlife conservation facility.

‘Tomorrow is Steve Irwin Day and The OG Wiggles will be performing at Australia Zoo,’ the group wrote.

‘We are looking forward to celebrating and remembering the life of our friend Steve Irwin.’

In response, Bindi added: ‘This is wonderful. We can’t wait to see you today at Australia Zoo!’

The group shared a snap of a young Bindi with her dad and the original line up of the Wiggles.

On Tuesday they performed at Australia Zoo as part of the celebrations for Steve Irwin Day.

It comes as Bindi  paid a moving tribute to her late father.

November 15 marked Steve Irwin Day in Australia, an annual event honouring the life and legacy of the conservationist known around the world as the ‘Crocodile Hunter’.

The Crikey! It’s the Irwins star, 24, shared rarely seen footage on Instagram of Steve discussing what wildlife conservation means to him.

‘Conservation is my whole life, my whole persona. What I want to be remembered for,’ Steve says in the old interview.

Bindi captioned the footage: ‘Nov 15, Steve Irwin Day. Wear your best khaki and celebrate the greatest wildlife warrior the world’s ever known.’

Many of Bindi’s 4.9 million followers took to the comments section to share what Steve’s legacy means to them.

‘Legends live on forever through the lives they have inspired and the positive changes made,’ wrote actress Emma Perry.

Another said Steve would be proud ‘if he knew the impact he made’ on the world.

Steve died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.

Bindi was just eight years old at the time.

Following his death, Steve’s family, including his daughter Bindi, widow Terri, son Robert and son-in-law Chandler Powell, have continued his conservation work at Australia Zoo.

It comes after Bindi shared a romantic tribute to her husband Chandler as she celebrated his 26th birthday on Monday.

‘Our family. My world. November 14 is one of my favourite days of the year, celebrating my incredible husband’s birthday,’ she captioned a gallery of family snaps on Instagram.

‘Chandler, you are the strongest, kindest and most selfless man I have ever known. I wish I could find a way to express how much you mean to me,’ she added.

‘I love you in every way, for all of my days. For me and Grace, our sun doesn’t just rise and set with you, you ARE our sunshine. Happy birthday to the very best.’
