Cher has defended her relationship with boyfriend Alexander Edwards, who is 40 years younger than her.
The If I Could Turn Back Time hitmaker, 76, and her love interest, 36, first met almost two months ago and have been spotted on numerous dates together.
Cher admitted that due to their extreme age gap, their relationship ‘looks strange on paper’.

However, the singer added that they were both adults and that ‘love doesn’t know math’.
She took to Twitter to share a picture of a shirtless Alexander, and then tweeted out: ‘On paper This Looks strange (Even 2 ME) A.E Says Love Doesn’t Know Math’.
One fan came to her defence in the replies, saying: ‘If your happy with AE, I mean truly happy, then who cares??

She also cheekily revealed the pair kiss ‘like teenagers’ after another fan asked her what Alexander’s best qualities were.
Cher replied: ‘He’s kind, smart, hilarious… & we kiss like teenagers’.
The two met during Paris Fashion Week which took place from September 26 to October 4, which means they have been together for almost two months already.

They were first seen holding hands at Hollywood restaurant Craig’s, before going to Cher’s Malibu home on November 3.
She confirmed the romance soon after with a tweet as she shared a snap of her beau alongside a heart emoji.
The hitmaker revealed she is treated ‘like a queen’ by her beau as she gushed about him in a series of messages.
The singer, who has already introduced Alexander to her family has shrugged off the 40 year age gap.
A fan asked her to confirm the relationship which she did with a series of emojis and added that they first met during Paris Fashion Week last month.

Cher is twice divorced and has son, Chaz Bono, 53, with her late ex-husband Sonny Bono who died in 1998 at age 62 from injuries sustained after hitting a tree while skiing.
She was later married from 1975 to 1978 to late singer Gregg Allman who died in 2017 at age 69. Cher and Gregg had son Elijah Blue Allman, 46, together.
Cher has previously said she dates younger men – after dating Ron Zimmerman, who is 12 years her junior, Tom Cruise, when he was 23 and she was 38, and Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora, who is 13 years younger than her.

Alexander is best known for having been in a relationship with Kanye West’s ex Amber Rose, 39, with whom he shares three-year-old son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
In August, Amber accused the producer of having affairs with 12 different people and he later took to social media to admit cheating on her.
However Cher ignored fans concerns by saying: ‘I’m in love, not blinded by it’.
The glamour model and former stripper also has a nine-year-old son Sebastian with rapper Wiz Khalifa, 35.
In August, Amber took to Instagram to air her grievances in a statement that began with: ‘I’m tired of getting cheated on and being embarrassed behind the scenes.

Several days later, Alexander confessed to cheating and said that though he ‘loved her’ infidelity was was his ‘true nature.’
Alexander is the Vice President of the Artists and Repertoire department of music company Def Jam, who has artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, DMX and Jhene Aiko in its signings.
From Oakland, California, Alexander was born in 1986 and once made an appearance on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
