Emily Atack revealed that she had been sent a disturbing message on social media this week of a man performing a sex act.

The comedian, 32, gave fans of a trigger warning before sharing a blurred out screenshot of the abuse, explaining that it happens ‘every day’.

And the abuse came moments after she opened up about sexual harassment and her experience with it both as a child and now during an appearance on Ferne Cotton’s podcast Happy Place.

Sharing an insight into the horrifical messages she received, the TV star posted a screenshot of a tweet that a man had directed at her.

The post contained videos of the man performing a sexual act on himself, with Emily explaining: ‘This was moments after I posted about my interview on @happyplaceofficial discussing my life with constant sexual harassment.

‘A man sending me videos of him masturbating. This will now continue to happen throughout the day. All day, every day.’ 

Emily is set to share her horrific experiences of being sexually harassed from a young age in new hard-hitting BBC documentary, named Emily Atack: Sexual Harassment & Me.

And she spoke out on the topic during the podcast appearance with Ferne too, sharing: ‘Feeling sexy to me, has become something I rely on, it’s my support blanket.

‘So, to be told that I need to take it away because I’m going to have rape threats sent to me and it’s not classy, that really upsets me because you’re asking me not to be myself.’

In a recent interview, Emily admitted that she feels ­’damaged’ after experiencing sexually harassment since she was just 10 years old.

She detailed how she has experienced sexual harassment ‘in the streets’ from a young age and admitted she finds being sent abuse online ‘every day’ very ‘tough’.

The actress – who shot to fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners – also said she is ‘blamed’ for the shocking things that have happened to her.

Emily told BBC Radio 4: ‘My whole life, I’ve been sexually harassed, in the streets, I’ve been flashed, it’s ­happened since I was 10.

‘Now I’m sexually harassed online every day, I find it ­really tough.’
