Harrison Ford reprised his much-beloved role as Indiana Jones in the newly released trailer for the upcoming movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

In the clip, the 80-year-old performer portrayed the adventurer as he aimed to stop an evil scientist with the help of his goddaughter Helena Shaw, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The actor, who recently spoke about working with Helen Mirren, will appear alongside other performers, such as Mads Mikkelsen and Boyd Holbrook, in the adventure flick.

The trailer begins with Jones meeting Jurgen Voller and his henchman Klaber, and the former inquires if the scientist is ‘still a Nazi.’

After a de-aged Jones punches an assailant while riding on a train, he jumps on a horse and rides through a parade as he is chased by Voller’s right-hand man.

The adventurer later meets with his longtime friend Sallah, played by John Rhys-Davies, who encourages him to ‘give them hell.’

The professor eventually finds his way onto an airplane, where he is joined by Shaw, who snuck onto the aircraft in an effort to rescue him from a group of assailants.

The trailer ends after Jones and his goddaughter jump from the airplane and plummet down towards the sea.

Development on the fifth Indiana Jones feature took place over several decades, although the project was not confirmed to have been in production until 2016.

At the time, Steven Spielberg was set to helm the soon-to-premiere feature, with George Lucas serving as one of its producers.

However, the industry legend stepped down from his role in 2020, although he remained on as a producer.

The director’s chair was later given to James Mangold, who had previously collaborated with Ford on Call of the Wild.

The filmmaker went on to write the movie’s screenplay alongside Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.

While Ford had always been attached to the project, several cast members, including Waller-Bridge, Mikkelsen and Holbrook, signed on to appear in the movie in 2021.

Shia LaBeouf, who portrayed Jones’ son Mutt Williams in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, will not be reprising his role in the new film.

Filming commenced in the summer of 2021 and took place in various locations in the United Kingdom, Italy and Morocco before shooting concluded last February.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was initially supposed to be released in 2019, although its premiere date was pushed back several times.

The long-awaited movie is currently set to make its debut on June 30.

Ford previously confirmed that he would give up the role of Jones after the flick’s release, although a television series centered on the character is currently being considered by Disney executives.
