Helen Flanagan channelled Bridget Jones in a funny clip on Saturday, revealing that she wants a ‘sensible’ boyfriend after her split from footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair.

The former Coronation Street actress, 32, who parted ways with Scott in October last year after a 13-year romance, lip-synced to an audio from the cult film in a video posted to her TikTok, while clutching a Hedwig pen and notepad.

The lines, made famous by Hollywood star Renée Zellweger, went: ‘Will find nice sensible boyfriend to go out with and not continue to form romantic attachments to any of the following- alcoholics, workaholics, commitment-phobics, meglomaniacs, emotional f****wits or perverts.

‘And especially will not fantasise about a particular person who embodies all these things.’

The clip seemed to hint that the actress, mother to Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, 17 months, is ready to start dating again.

Helen kept things casual for the video, going make-up free and wearing her blonde hair loose.

The actress later revealed she was in recovery after having a boob job in another video posted to her Instagram story on Sunday.

The former Coronation Street star, 32, admitted she was ‘really nervous’ to share the news but felt she needed the surgery since her breasts ‘became really saggy’.

While still in recovery, Helen – who split from her footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair in October – claimed she went under the knife in a bid to ‘feel more confident’.

She also explained how her decision had been influenced by a reduction in her bust from an E cup to ‘not filling a B cup bra’ caused by breastfeeding her three children.

While holding off from displaying the results, the newly-single star said in the vlog: ‘Hi, so I wanted to pop on here. I’m actually really nervous about sharing this actually but I’ve had a boob job.

‘I had it done on Thursday. Yeah, so I’m in recovery at the moment. I have been really nervous about sharing this, because you always get some, like, not very nice comments or what have you.

‘But yeah, it’s just something that I did for myself, I really wanted to do it for my confidence. I have been really nervous about sharing this. Obviously I very much am for body confidence, and very much for other women, but supporting women in all choices that they decided to do.’

It comes after it was revealed last year that Helen reportedly split from Scott because her engagement ring snapped and she felt it was a bad omen.

The actress and the footballer broke off their engagement and the news was revealed last October.

An insider claimed that when Helen’s ring broke she looked for guidance from a psychic medium because she believed the incident was a ‘sign’.

The source told the Sun: ‘Helen’s engagement ring snapped earlier this year. She’s into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.

‘Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn’t get married.’

Omens: Rumours of the couple's split began to swirl last week, and it's since been claimed that Helen broke things off because her engagement ring snapped and she felt it was a bad omen(pictured in August 2022)

Oh no! Helen Flanagan reportedly split from her fiance Scott Sinclair because she felt her engagement ring snapping was a spooky bad omen (pictured in August 2022)

She shared a cryptic post in August last year about starting ‘a new chapter’ where she was pictured not wearing her engagement ring for the first time.

Concern had been raised for Helen’s relationship with Bristol Rovers footballer beau Scott, after it is claimed the relationship was ‘on the rocks’.

And it seemed referenced new beginnings on her Instagram page, where she shared snaps of her with her children celebrating her birthday – but with no ring in sight.

On August 9 last year, Helen captioned the post to her 1million followers: ‘Lovely weekend celebrating my 32nd birthday and a new chapter.’

Doting mother: She said: 'I was really annoyed last week because I won't go into too much detail but basically I hate it when mums are made to feel uncomfortable!'

Now, although she is ‘not open’ to the idea of them getting back together, Helen wants to have a harmonious relationship, it has been claimed.

An insider told The Sun before Christmas: ‘Scott is a professional footballer so often he won’t be around on Christmas day because of his fixtures list however Helen and Scott are planning something special for the children.’

The source continued: ‘Helen is not open to talk of reconciliation and she just wants them to focus on being co-parents.’
