Joey Essex hints that he could be set to MISS his Dancing On Ice performance as he reveals awful skating injury
Joey Essex has hinted that he may have to sit out this week’s Dancing On Ice after suffering a nasty skating injury during rehearsals.
The former TOWIE star was forced to rest up on Saturday as he recovered from the injury, revealing the incident via Instagram.
Admitting that he has ‘seen better days’, the hunk, who has been impressing the judges during the competition so far, shared a picture of his bandaged up leg.
Paired with professional skater Vanessa Bauer, the duo have been hard at work all week perfecting their performance for Sunday evening.
But it appears Joey could’ve pushed himself too hard as he rested in hospital just hours ahead of the live show, making it unlikely that he will manage to skate.
Joey shared an update with his 1.8M Instagram followers at around midday on Saturday, showing that he was bed-ridden.
Taking a picture of his bottom half, the TV personality’s right knee and shin had a black support wrapped around it.
While he covered his foot with a sticker of an ice skate, suggesting that there could be further injury to it.
‘Had better days,’ wrote Joey over the shot.
He and Vanessa appeaerd to have been putting 100% into rehearsals, with the latter sharing a snap from the studio on Friday evening – jesting that she was ‘living’ there these days.
And Joey has been impressing the judges on the show so far, managing to steer clear of the skate-off as he continously bags solid marks from the judges.
