Spector filed to be removed from the case several months ago and cited an irreconcilable breakdown with the rapper as the reason.
Seeking new legal representation: Kanye West’s fourth divorce attorney has officially quit
Kanye and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian had a trial-setting conference on Friday, and Spector was set to officially withdraw in a date next week, but the judge ended up approving it today.
According to TMZ, the judge informed the court that Kanye needed to take action and submit his financial declarations to settle lingering issues or else the case would head to trial in December.
‘If Kanye ghosts everyone,’ TMZ writes, ‘then in all probability when the case comes before the judge in December — Kim will get whatever she wants.’
Back in May, when it was reported Spector filed her paperwork, The Blast reported an attorney from Pennsylvania who was not a divorce lawyer would represent Kanye in his split from Kim in the meantime.

Counting Spector, West has been through four attorneys in the case, Page Six reported. Prior to Spector, West relieved attorney Chris Melcher of his duties in the case, TMZ reported in March.
Insiders told the outlet at the time that West had been indecisive in his dealings with Melcher, at some times looking to settle and other times looking to battle her in court.
‘They are very civil’: The duo had a contentious co-parenting relationship not that long ago, but nowadays they are reportedly in a much better place
At the time West switched representation from Melcher to Spector, Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser said that West had been ‘strategically’ switching lawyers in an effort to slow down the legal process in the split, Mirror reported.
Kardashian filed to divorce West in February of 2021 after more than six years of marriage. She has been dating comedian Pete Davidson, 28, since last fall.
The duo, who share daughters North, nine, Chicago, four, and sons Saint, six, and Psalm, three, had a contentious co-parenting relationship not that long ago, but nowadays they are reportedly in a much better place.
‘Kim and Kanye have been coparenting very well as of late,’ a source told Us Weekly in a story published Thursday. ‘They are very civil with each other right now, there are no issues. They are both treating each other with mutual respect.’
