Witch way to the party? Kate Hudson is unrecogisable in a very spooky mask as she takes daughter Rani, four, trick or treating

Kate Hudson committed to Halloween on Monday, transforming into a witch as she took her daughter Rani Rose, four, trick or treating.

The actress, 43, was unrecognisable as she donned a gruesome mask with her black witch’s dress and hat, while her youngest child was a princess in a pretty pink gown.

They were joined by Kate’s fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, who wore his own creepy mask for the trick or treating session around their Santa Monica neighbourhood.

Kate was the perfect witch in her spiderweb adorned sheer black top, which she teamed with leggings and ankle boots.

A huge witch hat completed the vibe, while Kate ensured she wore gothic makeup to keep up appearances after removing her mask.

Little Rani looked delighted to be out with her parents, and a pal dressed as a skeleton, as she excitedly clutched her bag of candy.

As well as Rani, Kate is also mother to sons Ryder, 18, who she shares with The Black Crowe’s Chris Robinson and 11-year-old Bingham, who she shares with Muse musician Matt Bellamy.

Speaking to 1stDibs earlier this year, Kate, who had Ryder when she was 25, gushed about her life as a mother, pointing out: ‘I’ve been a mom my entire adult life.’

‘I was very young when I had Ryder and so I don’t remember my life not being a mother… I think it’s the best role in the world. I feel so honored that in this lifetime I get to do that.’

The joint interview also saw Danny asked what he admires most about Kate as a mother. He gushed that it was ‘her ability to prioritize being a mother in the midst of your insanely chaotic life.’
