Hear me roar! Hollywood A-listers Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom visit a Port Douglas wildlife sanctuary

Hollywood power couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom made an unexpected visit to a wildlife sanctuary in Port Douglas, Queensland, on Sunday.

The pair’s visit was a pleasant surprise for staff at Wildlife Habitat as they had booked and paid for the trip anonymously.

The Roar hitmaker, 37, and her actor fiancé, 45, got an up-close look at some native Aussie wildlife, including koalas, cockatoos and crocodiles.

The A-listers dressed casually for their day at the zoo, with Katy wearing a bucket hat for sun protection while Orlando sported a baseball cap and navy T-shirt.

They were given a guided tour by Rabecca Lynch, the wildlife manager for Cairns and Port Trips and Attractions (CaPTA).

Ms Lynch said the couple showed interest in hearing about Australia’s native animals.

‘They were very excited about meeting a koala and learning about their plight,’ she added.

The couple are believed to be staying in Australia for three months while Orlando shoots the film Wizards!

He’ll join Pete Davidson, Naomi Scott, Franz Rogowski and Sean Harris in the comedy by Australian writer-director David Michôd.

The pair first started dating in early 2016 and despite a brief split the following year they have been going strong since February 2018.

They share one-year-old daughter Daisy Dove.
