On Twitter he posted: ‘I’ve made a NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY’, before hinting to fans in the replies that his close friend and former One Direction member Niall Horan could feature.
The all-access behind the scenes documentary is directed by BAFTA winner Joe Pearlman.
It aims to show ‘an intimate portrait of his unique character, hopes and fears in his own words’.
‘Digging beneath the popular clichés surrounding the most unlikely of popstars reveals a deeply thoughtful and self-reflective young man at a unique crossroads in his life,’ the description of the documentary reads.
A touching video of Lewis onstage in Frankfurt showed the moment fans took over singing for him as he struggled with Tourette’s symptoms last month.
In the now-viral clip Capaldi can be seen turning away from the microphone as he struggled with his head and shoulder twitching uncontrollably.

His second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent will be released in May, before he performs at Glastonbury Festival in the summer.
