
Lucy Hale returned to the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank for the first time since her hit series Pretty Little Liars, which aired for seven seasons between 2010 to 2017, for a an exclusive screening of HBOMax’s reboot of the teen drama.
As she prepared to watch the highly-anticipated spinoff, titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, which premieres on July 28, for the first time, the 33-year-old actress hit the red carpet in a green leather suit over a black ribbed tank top, layers of gold necklaces, coordinating hoop earrings, a silver watch and a pair of black towering heels.
For the occasion, she wore her glossy chestnut brown hair in a sleek updo and a radiant makeup look, consisting of a rose gold eyeshadow, pink lipstick, several layers of mascara and a sweeping of blush for a healthy glow.

Upon learning the news of the reboot, Hale told Us Weekly that ‘sincerely’ wished ‘everyone the best’ and hoped ‘it’s a huge success.’
‘Some people get angry about a reboot, but I think it’s important to be supportive of up-and-coming artists. I’m curious to see what they do with it!’ she added.
The reboot is set in the same existing PLL universe, though in a new town called Millwood, with a new set of ‘Liars’ miles away from the original setting of Rosewood.

Millwood is described as a ‘blue-collar town’ that was nearly ripped apart by a series of devastating events 20 years prior.
The show will center on a group of ‘disparate teen girls’ who are tormented by an unknown ‘Assailant’ who wants them to pay for the mistakes their parents made 20 years earlier.
The show, entitled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, hails from Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and co-executive producer/writer Lindsay Calhoon Bring(Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).

While Hale is looking forward to the reboot, others from the original series don’t share her enthusiasm.
I. Marlene King, who created the original show based on the novels by Sara Shepard, expressed her disappointment on Twitter back in 2020.
After the project was announced in September 2020, a fan posted on Twitter, ‘The bodies aren’t even cold yet,’ with King responding, ‘Literally. They are somewhere in the WB jungle.’
Executive producer Joseph Dougherty also tweeted out, ‘We finished three years ago. Our original boots are warm.’
The original series also spawned two short-lived spin-offs, Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which both lasted just one season apiece.
