Nick Kyrgios’ ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari is pictured for the first time since he was charged with assaulting her – as the Aussie tennis star prepares for court showdown next week

The ex-girlfriend of Nick Kyrgios has been seen in public for the first time since the tennis star was charged with assaulting her during an alleged incident last year.

Model Chiara Passari, 23, dressed casually in green shorts, a grey sweater, and black sandals as she took her dachshund for a walk in Brisbane on Thursday, ahead of 27-year-old Kyrgios’ first day in court next Tuesday.

The aspiring influencer scrolled through her phone and at one stage appeared to take a photo of her dog.

The sighting comes after Kyrgios lost to Novak Djokovic in an engrossing men’s final at Wimbledon on July 10.

The Aussie world No. 45 broke the strict all-white dress code by wearing a red baseball cap to receive his runner-up trophy from Kate Middleton.

After the match, Kyrgios and his new girlfriend Costeen Hatzi celebrated his efforts at London’s Wyld nightclub, with his family and entourage.

Kyrgios is facing allegations he assaulted Passari in an incident last year, and will appear in court in his home city of Canberra next Tuesday.

The charge carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

Kyrgios had an on-again-off-again relationship with Passari before meeting Hatzi, a 21-year-old university graduate.
