And Nigella Lawson enjoyed a catch-up with her long-term publicist on Wednesday, sitting down for an al fresco business lunch at London hotspot The River Cafe.

The foodie looked chic for her leisurely meal at the Michelin star restaurant, dressed in a navy shirt dress.

Nigella, 62, teamed the flowing maxi dress with platform white sneakers, with a tan bag slung over her shoulder.

She enjoyed an animated conversation with her companion over drinks and food at the celeb-favourite eatery. 

The chef and writer seemed to be a regular as she and her publicist were escorted to her car by a member of The River Cafe team who kissed her goodbye.

It’s been a busy few weeks for Nigella who recently jetted Down Under to film for the new season of popular Australian cooking show My Kitchen Rules. 

It was announced in May that Nigella would feature on the new series, replacing former judge Pete Evans. 

‘Going to restaurants can be a treat, but for me, the true story of food is told through the cooking we do at home,’ she said in a statement when her role was announced.

New TV role: It’s been a busy few weeks for Nigella who recently jetted Down Under to film for the new season of popular Australian cooking show My Kitchen Rules

‘So, to have the chance to champion home cooks and be given the intimate privilege of being invited into people’s homes to eat their food fills me with gratitude and excitement in equal measure!

‘I’m so looking forward to working with Manu, too. Although he’s a chef and I’m a home cook, the fact is we both just want to eat good food.’ 

She added: ‘I feel I’ve got a lot to learn from him, but just know we’ll have a lot of fun in the process. I can’t wait!’

The Brit was spotted filming scenes for the upcoming season at the Sydney Opera House last month.
