Phil Burton announces shock return to Human Nature for upcoming Christmas tour after stepping away from the band last year

Human Nature have a special gift planned for their fans this Christmas season.

The beloved Aussie boy band will re-form with their original line-up for a series of shows in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney in December.

Phil Burton, 48, who left the band’s long-term residency in Las Vegas last year, appeared on Channel Seven’s Sunrise on Friday to make the announcement.

‘I’m genuinely excited about the reunion,’ he said during the live studio interview.

Fans can expect a mix of Christmas favourites and the band’s classic hits, explained Toby Allen, 49, who joined the chat via a live feed from Las Vegas, with band mates Andrew, 48, and Michael Tierney, 45.

‘We love this season,’ he gushed. ‘Our Christmas album has been out for ten years…so Human Nature and Christmas is a marriage made in heaven.’

The band will begin their A Christmas Celebration Tour in Melbourne at the Palm at Crown on December 8, where they will play a residency until December 11.

A show in Canberra will follow on December 14, before the tour wraps up in Sydney on December 14.

Phil confirmed early in 2021 that he had left Human Nature’s long-term residency in Las Vegas to return to Australia with his family.

The beloved crooner later explained it was the Covid pandemic that ultimately convinced Burton and his wife Justine to return home, after they were already feeling somewhat homesick.

He said he would re-join with the band on their trips Down Under.

‘I will travel anywhere for a gig, but I won’t live anywhere for a gig anymore,’ he explained to The Courier Mail last December.

Phil added that Australia felt more like home to his family as he expressed his wish for his children to have an ‘Australian upbringing’.

‘Home is Australia, this is where my family should be,’ he said.
