She announced she is pregnant with her second child last month. 

And Ali Bastian looked radiant as she posed for a selfie on Instagram showcasing her blossoming baby bump in a black maternity bra on Monday. 

The actress detailed her pregnancy to fans and told them that she is glad to be a ‘sexy 40-year-old woman’, while growing a new life.

The Hollyoaks star placed a caring hand on her growing tummy as she accessorised in a delicate necklace. 

Ali penned alongside the sweet picture: ‘Me and bump. There are some amazing women doing so much for postpartum body positivity.

‘I have pretty substantial diastasis recti from my previous pregnancy and two umbilical hernias that have well and truly ‘popped’ as well as my bump!

Exciting: The Hollyoaks star, 40, who is expecting her second child, detailed her pregnancy to fans and said she is glad to be a ‘sexy 40-year-old woman’.

‘I’m not quite ready to reveal all of that for the world to see but I love my bump and I also wanted to give a big shout out to @hotmilklingerie. who kindly gifted me this maternity/nursing bra.’

She continued: ‘I bought loads of their bras when I was carrying Isla and lived in them through my breastfeeding journey which only ended when I was three months preggo with this one!!

‘I love that they allow me to celebrate all the parts of me… the parts that are mothering, growing and sustaining life… and the part that is a sexy 40 year old woman. Thanks’.

Ali is currently expecting her second child with husband David O’ Mahony, in February, and is around five months along.

She debuted her blossoming baby bump in a sweet photoshoot with OK! Magazine, alongside her husband and their two-year-old daughter Isla Rose.

In an interview with the publication, Ali revealed how she told her daughter the exciting news: ‘Isla came into our room one morning and we were having snuggles. I said to David over her head, ”I think we should tell her now” and he agreed.

‘I said, ”Have you noticed that mummy’s tummy has been getting bigger?” and she said ”Yes!” I said, ”I’ve got a baby in my tummy.” And then there was this big smile across her face.

‘I wish we had captured that, it was magical, I’ll never forget it. She understood. I said, ”You are going to be a big sister” and her face lit up.’

The soap star gave birth to her first child in March 2020, during the first coronavirus lockdown.
