Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills: Diana Jenkins and Sutton Stracke square off over miscarriage talk

Diana Jenkins after suffering a recent miscarriage accused Sutton Stracke of being disingenuous about her concern on Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH on Bravo.

The 49-year-old show newcomer and Sutton, 50, squared off while having a tense lunch together during the season 12 episode titled So You Say.

Diana and Sutton met at Toscana and greeted each other warmly at the Italian restaurant before they quickly got into it.

‘I’ll start with the fact that you said that I’m clumsy with my words. And you said that to me very early on,’ said Sutton, who joined the main cast of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills last year after being a friend of the housewives.

Diana explained that she was trying to give Sutton the ‘benefit of the doubt’ at the time and didn’t believe that she was being purposefully hurtful.

‘I actually have changed my mind. I don’t think you’re clumsy with words. I actually think you mean what you say,’ Diana told her.

‘I’m here to make peace and to come to an understanding. I don’t want you to be mean to me and shoot daggers because I want to be very civilized,’ Sutton said.

‘I get that. You say that. But at the same time, the way you were provoking me at Garcelle’s birthday, that was so inappropriate,’ Diana said referencing their castmate Garcelle Beauvais, 55, and her birthday bash.

A flashback showed Sutton questioning Diana about her presence at the birthday party while she was on bed rest following a miscarriage and flippantly saying it was ‘confusing’.

‘I was wrong to maybe be a bit sarcastic,’ Sutton said.

‘Some things are just not up for sarcastic remarks,’ Diana told her as a waiter came up to take their order.

‘What I did wasn’t right. I am willing to say that. I need for you to be able to say back to me that what you did to me wasn’t right either,’ Sutton said after ordering soup.

‘What did I do to you?,’ Diana asked.

‘You mocked me when I go on to tell you my own experience of having two miscarriages,’ Sutton said.

‘Do you know how you said it? Do you know how you said it?,’ Diana asked.

‘I said it very sincerely,’ Sutton declared.

‘Wow,’ Diana said.

‘You know what, Diana? I was trying to bond with you and tell you I’m really sorry that you had a miscarriage. And now you’re rolling your eyes at me,’ Sutton said.

‘Because it’s not genuine, Sutton. It’s not,’ Diana told her.

‘Everything I’m saying is f***ing genuine,’ Sutton said.

‘I really feel like I need professional help in communicating with you. Because I don’t feel like you and I can communicate it, honestly. ‘Cause if you think that was sincere, then you really have a problem,’ Diana said.

‘I don’t share my stories of my miscarriages with many people,’ Sutton said.

‘You didn’t really share it. …You threw it in a way that is like…,’ Diana said.

‘I did not throw it,’ Sutton protested.

‘I had a miscarriage, and you said, ‘I raise you two.” It was done in a very…,’ Diana said.

‘It wasn’t like that,’ Sutton interjected.

‘And how dare you say that to me? You don’t say that about a woman with miscarriages. You don’t do that, and you know it,’ Sutton added.

‘Are you hearing yourself? Is that how you translate things in your head?’ Diana asked.

‘I’m speaking on behalf of women with miscarriages all over the world,’ Sutton stated.

‘Spokeswoman for miscarriages,’ Diana noted.

Diana then admitted the embrace she gave Sutton at Garcelle’s party was ‘the fakest hug I’ve ever had in my life.’

‘That’s really s**** of you to do. It’s really s****y of you. Shame on you,’ Sutton said.

‘For what? For not letting you walk over me? For not letting you clean your feet on me? To not let you abuse me?,’ Diana countered.

‘Abuse you?,’ Sutton asked.

‘You obviously think that you can go provoke somebody, yell at them, say all these mean things, and then, what? Then hug it out 10 minutes later? You cut me deep. And if I told you right now, ‘It’s all good,’ it would be fake. It’s not all good,’ Diana told her.

The Toscana waiter then checked in on them and Diana and Sutton told him everything was fine.

Sutton said she was ‘really genuine’ and Diana asked her to define herself.

‘I’m a reactionary, for sure. I’m a hothead, for sure. I’m a very good friend,’ Sutton said.

‘To whom?,’ Diana asked.

‘I am loyal to the end,’ Sutton said.

‘So you say,’ Diana said, lending the episode its title.

‘That I know,’ Sutton said.

‘So you say,’ Diana repeated.

‘That I know,’ Sutton said.

‘So you say,’ Diana said again while sitting in front of her truffle pizza.

Sutton then left to work on Christmas cards and promised she would be pleasant when they next saw each other at a charity event hosted by Kyle Richards, 53.

The episode earlier showed Kyle and her husband Mauricio Umansky hosting a Hanukkah celebration that included family as well as castmate Dorit Kemsley, 45, her husband Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley and their two children.

Kyle, Garcelle and Sheree Zambino also had lunch together and talked about Erika Jayne, 51, and her drunken behavior at the birthday party.

Garcelle was worried about Erika mixing alcohol with medication, while Kyle said she was glad to see Erika letting loose after all that she’s gone through. 

Erika during a gathering at Sutton’s place publicly apologized to Garcelle for suggesting a threesome with her older son Oliver, 30, and telling her teenage boy Jax to ‘f*** off’.

Garcelle accepted her apology after being complimented for raising such respectable young men.

She later treated her sons to a sneaker shopping session and was flabbergasted by the prices.

Erika also visited Diana who was culling her designer wardrobe to give items to charity.

‘My parents were at the mercy of charities for years, so I get involved in things that I don’t even understand, to be honest, as long as I know that it’s gonna help somebody, I’m in,’ said Diana who emigrated to London during the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War.

They compared notes on Sutton and Erika revealed that she gave Sutton advice on resetting her relationship with Diana.

‘And this is a woman that, you know, was really s****y to me last year. And I haven’t swept that under the rug, but I’m peaceful with it,’ Erika said.

‘How do you forgive and forget?, Diana asked.

‘I don’t,’ Erika replied.

‘You’re a wise woman,’ Diana said.
