Sharni Vinson cuts a casual figure as she enjoys a shopping trip with her mother in Queensland

Former Home and Away actress Sharni Vinson enjoyed a relaxing shopping trip with her mother Narelle on the Sunshine Coast on Monday.

The Australian actress, 38, cut a casual figure in grey track pants, a navy T-shirt and jacket for the outing.

She completed her look with a pair of comfortable black sneakers, a white cap and held a black backpack.

During the outing, Sharni couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she stopped to pat a local’s dog.

Narelle also dressed for comfort in navy track pants and a jumper for the outing. 

Sharni rose to fame on Channel Seven soap Home and Away, appearing on the program between 2004 and 2008.

She completed her look with a pair of comfortable black sneakers, a white cap and held a black backpack

She left in 2008 after first debuting on the show when she was just 22 years old.

There have been whispers of a return to Summer Bay for a while, but Sharni has not confirmed any news yet.

She has also made appearances on popular US crime shows such as NCIS and CSI.

In 2014, Sharni’s lithe frame became the subject of fan outcry, and she responded to concerns about her weight during an interview with Heat magazine.

‘I’ve always been a very naturally slim girl. If I was the way I was perceived, I would not physically be able to do what I do,’ she said at the time.

When asked if she was eating proper meals, she added: ‘Yes. You couldn’t have a schedule like I do if you didn’t. You would actually faint.’

The magazine reported at the time that the actress ‘doesn’t go to the gym and instead walks on the beach and enjoys a diet of burgers.’
