She is one of the most glamorous celebrities on Sydney‘s social scene.

And TV host Sonia Kruger is the latest star to spark rumours she’s planning on joining the cast of the Real Housewives of Sydney.

The 57-year-old is said to have caught the eye of Bravo boss Andy Cohen while he was in Australia for WorldPride last month.

Cohen is the executive producer of all ten Real Housewives franchises, while the Australian version is produced by Matchbox Entertainment and is aired on Foxtel.

The Watch What Happens Live! host appeared to bond with The Voice and Dancing With The Stars beauty while they were at an event to launch Channel Seven’s new channel 7Bravo, according to Woman’s Day.

Sonia was the only Aussie celebrity to feature in Andy’s Instagram stories while he was in town.

She lives in a $6.5m mansion in the exclusive suburb of Mosman with her partner Craig McPherson and their daughter Maggie, eight.

McPherson is Seven Network’s Director of News and Public Affairs, and is responsible for 7NEWS, Sunrise, The Morning Show, 7NEWS Spotlight, The Latest and 7NEWS.com.au.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Sonia’s management for comment.

It comes after Roxy Jacenko addressed rumours she was joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Sydney.

The PR queen, 42, shut down the speculation year following reports Foxtel plans to revive the series with a new cast.

Roxy, who is an ambassador for Nine’s streaming service Stan, said she wouldn’t dare join a ‘rival network’.

‘No! Okay, so apparently I’m in Housewives,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Someone from Stan called me and were like, “Are you doing Housewives?” I’m like, “Well, given it’s on a rival network, no, I am not.”‘

‘And number two, I don’t even know who started that [rumour]. But no. Apparently I am, but not that I’ve heard,’ she added.

‘But hey, you’re keeping me relevant. I’m good with that.’

Rumours swirled last year that Foxtel was secretly working on a new season of The Real Housewives of Sydney.

A source told Daily Mail Australia that producers were keen to find a ‘more likeable cast’ than the polarising personalities from the first season.

‘They’re really looking for housewives who have genuine connections or pre-existing beef with one another,’ they added.

Roxy confirmed in 2017 she had turned down the Sydney instalment, and later remarked that the cast were too ‘mean’ to each other.

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia for comment at the time, she laughed off the rumours but admitted it would be ‘good TV’.
