The cast of the new Robbie Williams biopic Better Man enjoyed a well-deserved break from filming in Melbourne last week.

British actor Jake Simmance, along with Aussies Liam Head, Chase Vollenweider and Jesse Hyde, all of whom are playing members of pop group Take That in the film, hit a golf course last week to play a few holes.

Anatomy of a Scandal star Simmance rocked a peroxide blond hairdo for his rumoured role as singer Gary Barlow.

Meanwhile, Head plays Howard Donald, Hyde portrays Mark Owen and Vollenweider plays Jason Orange in the film, which focuses on the career of the boy band’s star Robbie Williams.

The men all looked casual for the outing, teeing off in sneakers and collared shirts.

Chase, decked out in all white, drove the group’s golf cart as they made their way around the course.

In a twist, it has been reported that Robbie will be portrayed as a computer-generated monkey.

Taking on this role is British actor Jono Davies, who was spotted strolling around set wearing a full-body CGI suit on Friday.

It was announced in December that producers would begin filming Better Man at Docklands Studios in Melbourne in early 2022.
